The Grid is kinda like IRL in that different experiences are available to the user depending upon the seasons. Since I live in the Northern Hemisphere of this planet, the past few months have been wintery and so I visited a lot of wintery and Christmas-y locations in Second Life recently.

Lost Unicorn (location)

I've visited this realm several times with different outfits, and I even got to explore it as a mermaid (more of that adventure in a fieldset below). It's a beautiful region indeed.

I found the unicorn, it's not lost anymore.♥

Kalepa (location)

Kalepa is located in or near a place called DaVinci Gardens, by far one of my favorite places to visit in Second Life.

That coral is amazing, IMO.

I found an underwater room with a piano in it, and I just couldn't help myself. I can't play the piano IRL, unfortunately.

In that same room with the piano there was a picture on the wall of my (at the time) SL profile photo. No idea why that was there.

CandleWood (location)

This is the teleportation entrance to CandleWood, a gorgeous place with an ominous atmosphere & plenty of ruins. Some of the stuff took a long time to rez and I didn't feel like waiting, but the pics are still good IMO.

Viper Isles 2 (location)

This place reminds me of Hell and Halloweentown smooshed together into one. It's a freaky place with a spooky atmosphere, and I can't wait to visit again later this year when Halloween rolls around.

I just changed my profile picture to this picture because I love it so much.

Dead as a doornail. Maybe the little faery has come to take my Second Life soul away to a Second Afterlife.

This room was rather greusome but I really loved it. I want to come back here for more photoshoots in the future. That beast would just randomly pop up out of the blood stew cooking there, it was pretty sweet.

Okay back to not-so-gruesome now, I suppose. This picture reminds me of Michaelangelo's Pietà

Hangars Liquides (location)

This is Hangars Liquides, like a kind of abandoned cyber-punk city with some harsh ambient lighting. It's okay for exploring, but most of the places look the same. It is fun to fly around the city sometimes, though.
